Natural Fiber
The sisal fiber is used for rope as well as carpets. Native to Mexico, sisal is
cultivated from Central and South America, Africa, and Asia. An agave sisal
became popular for both its strength as well as its ability to stretch.
The rugs are edged with either cotton, linen, or faux leather and dyes easily.
Sisal can also be purchased as a 40% blend with 60% wool for a softer texture.
