Colors
The two basic colors are natural and carbonized. The difference is that the carbonized has been heated which
makes it 10% softer than the natural bamboo.
Grains
The grain runs horizontal or vertical. The horizontal grain shows the nodules of the bamboo and the vertical does
not.

Engineered
Engineered bamboo, which is ideal for concrete sub-floors and basements because it can be floated and is very
stable.
Hand-Scraped (or Antique Flooring)
The manufacturers of this consider it art as much as flooring. It is a solid or engineered bamboo floor with a
textured top layer. This process takes longer to produce. This is a very popular choice for replicating older,
classical buildings and is available in a variety of colors.
Strand Woven
Created by heating long strips of bamboo, weaving them together and then laminating them under extreme heat
and pressure. The result is twice as hard as red oak and is more stable.
Traditional Solid
Bamboo is made of whole strips of bamboo, either vertical or horizontal. It can be used anywhere.
